I began my career grounded in the belief that technical expertise alone would carry me forward. Over time, I came to understand that while these core skills are essential, they are not sufficient in today’s increasingly complex and dynamic environments. Operating across diverse cultural, technological, and organisational landscapes—particularly throughout the Asia-Pacific region—has underscored the need for adaptability, innovation, and a broader, people-centered approach.

My professional journey has taken me through large, multifaceted organizations where transformation is not just an opportunity, but a necessity. In New Zealand, I have focused on the R&D sector, advising on capacity development and delivering sustainable commercial innovation.

These experiences have shaped my approach to commercial leadership: one that values sustainable impact, team empowerment, and holistic success. I’ve learned that investing in people and creating resilient, high-performing teams delivers the most meaningful and enduring outcomes—both in times of achievement and through the lessons of challenge.

This perspective has naturally led me to the 4NP initiative.

Healthcare, as both a service and a sector, continues to operate within a legacy model—one that is increasingly misaligned with today’s financial, workforce, and societal realities. Despite rising expectations, we persist with outdated approaches that no longer serve us effectively. Through our exemplar primary care practice, I’ve seen firsthand what’s possible when we reimagine the system.
